Cliffside has created an Asian unit to meet the increasing needs of the growing Asian community. Our bilingual staff treats our residents with hospitality, and eliminates the frustration of language barriers that Asian patients so commonly face. The unit is tastefully decorated incorporating Asian style and design, including Chinese art and signs.
Our medical panel includes Asian physicians who care for the patient, as well as provide support for family members. Asian Staff are incorporated into the various departments.
Asian volunteer organizations put on a variety of cultural shows for our residents, indulging our residents in a unique form of entertainment and Asian holidays are celebrated. Our Chinese chef prepares gourmet food that meets all of our Asian residents’ distinctive tastes.
We understand that there are unique language barrier and cultural challenges that a native Chinese , Korean, or Asian language speaker may face in transitioning to a skilled nursing environment, and our goal is to provide a family friendly, familiar environment.

You'll meet with our multilingual social workers, who provide emotional support and reassurance for clients and their families upon admission to the facility, easing the transition to the facility and answering their concerns.
Our Chinese chef prepares gourmet food that meets all of our Asian residents' distinctive tastes, with your choice of traditional or Asian menu meal choices.
We invite families and friends of our clients to join us in the celebration of many holidays. Together, we enjoy dinners and entertainment throughout the year.
Religious services are offered to clients of all denominations on a weekly basis. We also have an active volunteer program drawing on local houses of worship to promote spiritual comfort.
Tai chi has been described as magical, and it certainly feels like magic. We have found it effective as a relaxation technique promoting comfort and aiding in recovery. Acupuncture and tai chi are offered as a free service to our clients.
Our trained multi lingual recreational therapists provide entertainment based group and individual activites such as parties, games, crafts, mah jong tournaments and live entertainment. Residents have access to Chinese channels on their TVs and Chinese newspapers are delivered daily.
